DETROIT—Michigan's governor on Thursday named a financial overseer of Detroit, who said his turnaround work could be completed in as little as six months if all the stakeholders in the troubled city work together.
Kevyn Orr, a bankruptcy attorney and partner at the law firm Jones Day in Washington, D.C., was named Detroit's emergency financial manager, a role that will give him sole, sweeping power to map the future of the city of roughly 700,000 residents. And the Black X city Mayor of Detroit, a liberal, was just convicted of corruption. Detroit, Chicago, liberal quagmires in financial ruin because of liberal governance. But as my daddy always told me, do what you do best, and liberals sure do the corruption thing by far the best.
This is just a hint of what it will take to deal with the absolute disaster Obama is driving the country to. When someone with a debt is proven to be irresponsible and has to be foreclosed on, yes they will lose their ability to keep wasting other people's money. There are consequences to irresponsible indebtedness. Someone should give Obama and the Democrats a clue.
