787 flight tests possible by end of this week.

SEATTLE/WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Boeing Co (BA.N) plans to conduct two flight tests of its revamped 787 battery system, possibly as soon as the end of the week, according to three sources familiar with the matter.
The 787 flights, the first since February, mark another step toward Boeing's recently announced goal of returning the grounded jet to service in a matter of weeks, not months.

    • Nothing wrong with the battery , they knew it. 787's design require heavy use of electrical , too much energy going through the cable caused it to get hot and baked. The problem is very simple but to fix it require redesign the electrical system which very costly . The only thing they did is reenforced the battery. It will bake again soon.

      Sentiment: Strong Sell

    • Boeing needs to conduct only one test flight with the proposed fix on ZA272 (LN 86, SP-LRC) according to the NCY787 blog. Two will make sure they cover all the bases.
