Propaganda and ignorance are the mark of progresses. They can take a Group or individual and give them low approval ratings while at the same time give the policies they stand for high approval ratings.
Obama is a good example of this. High approval ratings and extremely low rating for his policies.
According to Gallop:
Over all Approval 52%
Handling the Economy 39%
National defense 41%
Federal budget deficit 31%
Gun policy 41%
Foreign Affairs 42%
If this is your personal analysis you did a nice job showing the contrast between likability and ability. What you show is a leader who lacks ability but can emotionally connect and create a great deal of likability. From a political perspective Challengers of someone like Barry are not going to get people to stop making voting booth decisions with their heads instead of their hearts and score high marks on likeability. We'll see if the Repubs are as smart as you.
One thing I would argue is that non-poorgressives were also drawn to Barry and that those are the people Repubs are going to have to woo in order to expand their base. Putting likeable candidates with great messaging on Ellen,Oprah, The View, late night shows, etc. is a must in order to attract the non-poorgressives and independents. Propaganda isn't going to go away so Repubs must ramp up their propaganda campaign in order to compete with the Dems propaganda.
