The Boeing Company Message Board

  • elonmusk909 elonmusk909 Dec 31, 2013 2:47 AM Flag

Does Boeing need to cut pensions? 8 year airplane order backlog,3.9B annual profit,8,7 billion tax break,15% 737 &777 profit margin work for

    Ever Since the 751 membership
soundly rejected the IAM International/Boeing Alliance attempt to
blackmail, extort, threaten, and belittle us into accepting a
"sweetheart deal" full of job security loopholes, takeaways, yankbacks,
and empty promises, we have been vilified and labeled as greedy,
    militant and selfish. As
the elected politicians (hopefully not RE-elected) repeatedly
say,,the membership needs to think about the whole community, the state
and the economic pain these areas will feel if we do not bow down to
Boeing and help them in these rough times for them. The Elected
officials must feel so bad that Boeing is suffering with record profits,
record orders, an improving economy, and a paltry 8.7 BILLION dollar gift to the
company at tax payer expense. Those are certainly not enough for the greediest company in history.
It is sickening that states will throw billions at a company that doesnt care an ounce about anybody or anything, except GREED and MORE GREED

    • What we fear most who have been at the company for a long time, is that they will run this company into the ground just like they did McDonnell Douglas. What's the definition of insanity, doing the same thing over and over again, even when you fail time and again. Perhaps it's time for McNerney to step down and admit he isn't the leader he and board, shareholders thought he was. If the company is to last in the longterm it needs to think past quarter to quarter profits. We have seen where Wall Street leads us with this myopic vision. How much money is enough?
It's not just Boeing that's at stake it's our whole country. Neo
