Top one percent keep hammering the unions

turning the screws to compress the middle class for profits and as for the poor - forget it the ultra far right hopes to dissolve them and turn them into KOCH DUST. Look at Wisconsin with their Governor Walker -- 37th in the nation in job creation after destroying schools and the middle class all for the KOCH boys and that ultra far right destroyer. Sad. I am self employed but I understand what is going on and it ain't good for any one but the top one percent.

    • Perhaps you are misinformed. Unions are trying to crush middle class. When 7% of workers are paid more than the average worker with similar skills, its not the wealthy who are impacted, it is the rest of society who must pay the above average prices for the products (produced by Union workers) they buy. If the entire country was unionized this would not be a problem, but the fact is most workers are not unionized. Even those earning minimum wage pay for the services of union workers. I have seen Engineers (not entitled to over time pay) work identical hours yet receive lower total compensation!

    • WTO was a vote by our Congress and President Clinton for the top 1% and gainst UNIONS. The well worded rhetoric deceived. NAFTA & WTO helped every body except the USA. Only big money won.

It's because of unions that China has become an economic powerhouse.

    • Yep. The middle class in this country has been under assault for years, if not decades, and as a result is slowly but surely disappearing. It is on a path to extinction and when the top 1% finally achieve their goal (I'm guessing somewhere between 10 and 20 years from now) the United States will more closely resemble Mexico, a weak country full of societal ills. For the great majority of Americans, it will not be a pleasant place to live. People had better get ready because when that day arrives it is going to be ugly, VERY ugly. Three cheers for crony capitalism!
