Did anyone notice that retinal doctors got outed by medicare.
The government released their reimbursements for these expensive drugs like Eylea. The doctors are really #$%$. Look it up yourself and then ask yourself if they will continue to use as much Eylea or switch patients back to Avastin.
To be more specific, medicare and the media made it sound as though the $2000/dose of Eylea was paid as earnings. One doctor was reimbursed 22 million by medicare. The American Society of Retinal Specialists tried to put out information that this was due to high drug costs and not profit to the doctor. Retinal physicians will for sure scale back since they are in essence being blamed for the use of these drugs. You'd be silly to think that many of them won't scale back the use to stay off the list of doctors reimbursed the most by medicare.
