I don't see an AGNC SPO this week. The underwriters would be worried about getting the volume out in a short week.
I think its either next week or in the post earnings/pre-div time period. An SPO closely followed by poor earnings would be playing with fire imo.
Thanks for the input Farm.
So the answer is(according to you): They were BOTH right.Lol.
Needless to say, there will be at least some warning pre-spo.
That's really the answer I was looking for.
I won't wake up tomorrow with my holdings of MTGE significantly lower.
One must be astutely observant for any announcements at any time by MTGE's management though.
Are they able to make an announcement after the closing bell and have an offering before the opening bell the following day?
I don't think so,
but it's always nice to learn the ropes, and especially the finer threads of said ropes.
Thanks again, FOXY
I believe that MTGE is authorized to issue more shares so they don't need permission or approval from the shareholders. Since MTGE does not have an established successful track record of SPOs (like AGNC) and because the IPO was less than a year ago, they will need to file a shelf registration and wait for SEC approval before selling the new shares.
