I sold 90% of my NTI today @25.52, a 5% profit.
I see that NTI likes to swing.
I will try to win back my shares at 25.10 - 25.25.
There's about 11 days until the div. decl. is due(last:11/12).
I think I may get a shot in or two by then, hopefully. :)
Walrus8 - One suggestion is to watch some other smaller refiners like CVRR, ALDW and CLMT along with NTI. They have been trading with the same type of movement. However, today CVRR, ALDW and CVRR all took hard dips early in trading but CLMT held its ground. If you want NTI, go long that and short CLMT.
As you can see now, NTI recovered and passed CLMT on the day.
Although today was a larger than normal, just about every day one of the four gets a bit out of whack with the rest of the group but then comes back in line.
Yes, my game plan was to get out for the announcement on NTI's dividend but I saw it dropping hard into the close today so I took a small position on the close so I'm getting my hand slapped on that one so far in AH.
Hmmmm ... the stock has been settling in after the SPO, but I am not hopeful about your strategy. Maybe you get one of those little dips that have been taking place shortly after opening. Good luck, and don't wait for a big dip.
