Other hybrids like IVR and TWO are doing relativley well because people understand that their portfolio is well diversified with GSE MBS and non- GSE securities, so any action the FED does is mitigated by these other investments
I guess Gary Kain isn't the master magician of REITs that Wilkus portrayed to be. Don't see Kain putting on his big boy pants and buying a few shares on open market showing shareholder support. But why should he with all the cheaper Options handed to him.
Yes it should.......Today Deuitch Bank re-itereated a Buy recomendation. The analyst noted that there was $0.45 in undistributed income left over at the end of the 2nd Qtr '13. Further MTGE has one of the strongest balance sheets of the mREITS with minimal leverage of 3.66:1. Finally MTGE's net interest spread of 2.01 as of 3/31/13 was if not the highest one of the highest spreads in the mREIT industry
