The only thing that could benefit IBM is the existing customer base - which is hardly worth the price. There is nothing else of value to IBM. They simply built their own tools. With the turmoil going on with Compuware and a takeover, customers will simply leave the uncertainty of CPWR and move to IBM - for free. I highly doubt IBM has any interest - this is a an old rumor that has never panned out.
no IBM buys their software Tivoli 759 million Candle 200 million Sterling and many more , They spent 6 years 2 billion developing Systemview and failed. So they bought Tivoli for the framework to do what SV was supposed to do........buy on rumor sell on the news!
