Using yahoo, on 12/14/2007, five years ago, PNC closed at $64.81. Today, PNC closed at $55.79 on 12/14/2012. A loss of 13.8%. How is this a good investment. Those that were negative on this board and said to sell when this BIG BANK hits a new high, had it right. Those who said to buy and hold are loosers. In the next rally, if there is one, it may be smart to sell.
I don't see any growth going forward for 5-10 years and this bank is so huge, the law of diminishing returns applies here. I hate to agree with someone who is so unpopular on this board, but this is the truth. That professor must have known what he was talking about, I checked out his rantings on the M-REIT's board from six months ago, he called it squarely on the head, the yield spread is getting squeezed big time and divy's will get cut.
PNC is about to tank for the umpteenth time , no surprise there !!
Just ignore these fat dinosaurs until the $ 30's again , then maybe jump back in , bigger isn't always better , just ego building for the top tier IMHO ........... A few up-bumps over the years , but overall a snoozer with more downside than up ......... No sense checking , they aren't going anywhere .........
