What's with the current advertising campaign being used on television? I can't imagine this type of advertising appealing to anyone in any demographic area. I wonder if they aren't having a negative impact on new business applications and renewal retension?
I agree. The campaign is not funny, not informative, not captivating...and definitely not effective. I have heard that the response rate from this current campaign has plumeted dramatically. It is even more strange that they would continue to run these spots. It is killing their brand. Everyone involved with devising the campaign should be fired.
I just saw a commercial of some nut landing a toy helicopter on the roof of supposedly Mercury headquarters.
If this is what the claims people are like I had better cancel my policy and sell my stock. What happened to insurance being a profession. This reeks of the same advertising as Eastwood Insurance. How could Mercury lower itself to this?
