Hey UD I just want you to know that I did a little comparison shopping today, and came up with some real interesting results that actually surprised me! The reason was that your buddies have been giving it to you pretty good about your big mistake from five years ago. BTW, whos the YUTZ that actually saves old posts? This is a guy with some serious problems. Do you know what it takes for a anyone to go THAT far, as to SAVE things from FIVE years ago? Not only THAT, but it takes a bit of searching just to find such trivia in the archives. Imagine that kind of effort for a just in case gotcha thrill. I went to stockcharts.com and compared their performance indexes over the past five years on one page. But UD, they dont make you look bad at all! You look like a GENIUS! The closing date was December 18, 2006. Heres the indexes I looked at:
$SILVER UP 160%
$GOLD UP 95%
$INDU UP 20%
$USD DOWN 30%
And if you just us the highs and lows of each index within that time frame, the number are even better for silver and gold. The best part of the whole thing is, that if you look at the way the markets have been going lately, guess whats going to happen next! The Dow has been in a strong rally, and hasnt corrected for a while. You naturally have to think that eventually it will probably need to take a rest. Silver and gold have already come out of their recent correction that took them all the way back to their uptrend lines. And the dollar with all the help of the FED and all the rest of the kings men, have been doing everything under the sun to keep the dollar from going below .8050. Its been in one of those dead cat bounces that gives all the wishful folks hope. Notice how even the lousy news is played up as if it were wonderful, and the bad news is ignored as just a temporary inconvenience thats going to get better. So let the spin meisters begin now. LOL duck. LOL.

>>>Finally while you know the Dwuck has limited understanding of modern economics and his belief that the Euro was gold backed was a mistake, why do you persist in calling it a lie. There are facts and there are opinions. <<<
When the Duck persisted in repeating his nonsense, for years, that the Euro was backed by gold, after repeatedly being corrected, it becomes a lie to support his ranting platform. That's my opinion and I see no holes in it. He continues with this technique even now when he states that the Euro was going to be gold backed. Again, pure nonsense told in a deceitful manner to buttress his rant at the expense of societal needs (honesty).
...or is he just a shill for the conspiracy cabal?
In the past year, we have witnessed:
a. the Duck borrowing money and calling it savings.
b. the Duck buying gold with borrowed money which is speculation. He called it savings.
c. Continuing to tell us that the Euro was gold backed, or was "going to be" gold backed. All with no links or substantiation offered.
d. His advocation for buying a financial piece of paper, the Euro, with USD$, yet he calls the Euro a fraud.
e. His cheerleading for China yet its monetary system is built on tremendous debt, with a much higher percentage of bad debt than the Western World (which the Duck calls a fraud).
While the Duck and I share a common affinity for the asset class known as precious metals, the above nonsense indicates that his Pied Piper stance is fraught with cliffs. How long can this go on?
Alph... partial quote...
"Dummy obviously does a much broader reading of economic thought and more often than does not sound ideological. I can imagine the bombastic exchanges these two had originally, but agree with Dummy's sentiment, what difference does it make and who really gives a damn."
That's about the best post I've read for a while, including mine. You're pretty darn close to a bullseye, but I really can't take anything away from my friend the duck. He's a genuinely honest and decent guy, and believes deeply in what he says, does and thinks. He's very generous, thoughtful and wants very much to "HELP" people, in more ways than just offer his views and opinions here. Yes, he's idealistic as anyone I've ever known, but not appreciated by many for all the wrong reasons. My post to him was what I really believe would be a little better for him. In no way would I tell him to discontinue espousing his beliefs. But, in the case of a degenerate like whatshisname.... who I can't even acknowledge any longer, I know for sure he should stop allowing a person like that to frustrate him while everybody laughs up there sleeve over it.
Canoodle... where have you been. The Dwuck tends to stress out the later it becomes nearly each and every day. I have even posited my conclusion as to why that occurs.
What is more interesting is why Dummy comes to the aid of the Dwuck given the Dwuck's extremist position(s), expecially respecting economic things. Dummy obviously does a much broader reading of economic thought and more often than does not sound ideological. I can imagine the bombastic exchanges these two had originally, but agree with Dummy's sentiment, what difference does it make and who really gives a damn.
Finally while you know the Dwuck has limited understanding of modern economics and his belief that the Euro was gold backed was a mistake, why do you persist in calling it a lie. There are facts and there are opinions. Nothing is gonna change the Dwuck's opinion that gold is the only true money. Like nothing is gonna change your opinion that this Iraq misadventure has been necessary and that the costs somehow justify the puny, if any gains. Or your refusal to recognize that nearly everything beyond the first 4 months of the Iraq War has been a waste.
No UD, that's not quite right either. I/we enjoy the game with a few friends, and get the benefit of sun, fresh air, exercise and great scenery! If you've ever played any games, be it cards or a sport, it's understood, that you would naturally play to do your best. However, I'd have to be extremely naive to miss a ploy like that as bait. Winning is part of the game, but not the only reason to play the game. Now, getting back to your fascination of engaging a fool in a no win pissing contest incessantly, has no point or redeeming value. If it's comedy, somehow it's not funny. The fool baits anyone willing to engage his fantasy, and simply changes the subject and sucks them in making he/she the mark. Get It? At least I can talk to you without all the "gotcha" BS! A goon like that is most likely wetting his pants, as it appears to bring him sexually stimulating pleasure... as pointed out in one of the classes. There's nothing else to it. I wonder if posting to himself with no willing partners to fulfill his needs would relieve his angst? Can you imagine him having no more two way sessions? That would force him to give himself a HAND... wink wink. :)
QWAK,Bear,Playing the BEST GAME one can play and focusing on IMPROVING ones ability ---- IS playing to WIN, it is just NOT COMPARING final scores and acting CHILD LIKE in that it some how makes one player BETTER than the other players.
It comes down to an indiviguals personal definition of WINING,if the indivigual makes a mistake THEY know it and in a sence LOST somthing so did not WIN. Score keeping is not nessary or at least oponal :) and only in that players mind any way! LOL Plus no score card in that game!
For J4D I believe he always PLAYS to WIN but he has his own definition of what is WINING!
When ones own RULES are more strict and defined then the ones in the rule book, one can IGNOR and even throw away the RULE BOOK and play their OWN GAME! :)
I believe THAT is what J4D was actualy saying. ;)
ONE is MORE FREE when THEY are SELF DISAPLINED and that is how LIFE works TOO! :)
