    • QWAK,Paying off DEBT -- with MORE DEBT -- is INSANITY!

      the DUCK

    • Sooner or later only the nation's that keep printing fake money will implode under the weight of their own unmanageable debt. So which one isn't in debt? Even the bailouts will fail. Every bubble ends the same way. They'll fall like domino's.

    • "Greece erupts"

Greece will be bailed out Bojo! Phony balony funny money created out of thin air will come to the rescue, but of course with a tacked on hefty interest rate (phony balony funny money don't come cheap).

From comment section of Timesonline article:

"What is money? Where does it come from? Well under the fiat currency system. The central banks create money out of debt or borrowed funds. This money was lent to them by another institute that just printed some fake numbers on paper/digitally for the exchange of bonds or promisary notes. Both are essentially promisary notes however, so really the bonds are fiat currency and the currency exchanged is fiat currency. Debt on debt.

This loan also has interest put on it, plus the effects of inflation due to the time taken to pay the loan back. Since all money is now printed out of nothing/fiat currency... it is all debt so you pay off your loan of debt with someone else's debt. Therefore you create and inflate a giant debt/credit bubble that the world plays hot potatoe with.

Greece was holding the bubble last because their government was not allowed to twist the wealth out of its people. We started with a system that could sustain us but we let the banks take everything. This forces a government to continuously tax and burden its people to pay for this debt system that inevitably fails every single time."

Only a matter of time before our humble political servants tax us to the breaking point. No wonder Greeks are hiding their money from the approaching vultures.

Greece erupts as men from IMF prepare to wield axe

The violence came as negotiations were concluding between the SOCIALIST GOVERNMENT of George Papandreou, the IMF and the EU over a multi-billion-euro rescue package for Greece.
“We will live much worse than our parents,” he said. “Why should we be made to pay for their mistakes?”
Economists regard the bloated civil service with its jobs for life and generous pensions as a cancer consuming the country’s resources.
Even greater social unrest is expected as resentment simmers among poorer families at being told to tighten their belts when wealthy Greeks can protect their fortunes by moving their money abroad, some of it into property bargains in London.
“It’s always the poor people who pay,” complained Katerina Ioannou, 20, in the cafeteria of the Athens University law faculty, a hotbed of student activism.
“People are stealing so they can live, so they can eat,” he said. “And it will only get worse. These [IMF] measures will drag hundreds of thousands of Greek citizens into a life of poverty.”

… these are just a few excerpts from a story that promises to invade debt-ridden countries.
      The question is: Who’s next?

    • OBAMA CHEATING SCANDAL: SHOCKING NEW REPORTS

When are they going to release the VIDEO?

Photo by: splash news online UPDATED: Reports out of Washington, DC: PRESIDENT OBAMA in a shocking cheating scandal after being caught in a Washington, D.C. Hotel with a former campaign aide.

A confidential investigation has learned that Obama first became close to gorgeous 35 year-old VERA BAKER in 2004 when she worked tirelessly to get him elected to the US Senate, raising millions in campaign contributions.

Now, the investigators are searching for a hotel surveillance videotape.

While Baker has insisted in the past that "nothing happened" between them, reports reveal that top anti-Obama operatives are offering more than $1 million to witnesses to reveal what they know about the alleged hush-hush affair.

Among those being offered money is a limo driver who says in 2004 that he took Vera to a secret hotel rendezvous in a Washington hotel where Obama was staying.

An ENQUIRER reporter has confirmed the limo driver's account of the secret 2004 rendezvous and has also learned that on-site hotel surveillance video camera footage could provide indisputable evidence to the investigation.

      DEVELOPING STORY

Oh this should be GRRRREAT! More X rated slime from the Whitehouse! But how will they be able to turn this one into W's fault?

I wonder if this First Lady will follow in the footsteps of Hillary? But technically, this is only one more little bit of info that was covered up from BEFORE the great one was elected!

If BO has to testify for Blago, who's going to testify for BO

    • Re: The meaning of FLUSH(ed)... then and now.

Yo duck... I love that one and kept a copy. I sent it out to a few others that still don't know the meaning of being 'FLUSH'(ed).

But the impact of the meaning now really won't be understood until the new FREE healthcare program grabs them by the throat starting in 2011.

    • QWAK,J4D,Who would have GUESED that in 40+- years the meaning of being "FLUSH" would have changed SOooooooooooo much and they just look at it and LAUGH at "the never ending FLUSH"! Bang head several times -- but it don't HELP! :(

      the DUCK

    • Yo duck... this is EXACTLY the kind of CONFISCATION that guy was talking about in the video. As stated in the last paragraph of your post:

"Are you worried about confiscation? Well you had damned well better be! That is what "printing paper", "monetization", Bailouts, and HYPER-INFLATION ARE!!! The Government does not give a damn about the .001% of peasants that still own Gold and Silver. That is not where the money is. They are lazy and greedy. The best way to steal is by printing paper. 99.999% of the peasants and money is good enough for them."

The other method I'm concerned about would be keeping it hidden at home where theives might break in and steal it. Soooo leaving it in a vault away from home, is probably the better choice. And the other idea I've been considering is storing it out of the country... Australia... at the Perth Mint which is owned by the government. Even that might not be completely fool proof, but who knows for sure? For now, I'm staying local in a vault away from home.

Yeah... printing more and more fiat dollars and devaluing the dollar would be the only way they could confiscate it. And the answer to that is to just take the new funny money and you'd end up being amoung the wealthiest people in the country! Socialism is about dividing and conquoring. All socialist countries have only two classes of people. The (SMART) RICH and the (STUPID) POOR. If the government didn't want illegals crossing the border, that wouldn't be a real big problem for them to handle. So they don't do anything, both the Obama administration, as well as the previous gang of criminal. They all have the same goal. The only difference between our two party system, is which one can get the most votes any way they can, so they can control the money.

Now just how many people do we both know who would survive the cut between rich and poor? How many people have been wise enough to buy gold and silver over the years and hold on to it. The TV adds asking people to sell their junk gold jewelry has been a huge success because most people have no idea that they're being mislead into believing the exact opposite of the truth. People just don't recognize a ripoff until somebody points it out to them. Most of the time it goes in one ear and out the other anyway. The only way people ever learn anything is by personal, expensive and painful personal experience. They simply MUST suffer through thier own tragic, but preventable losses. PERIOD.

Let's put it this way. How many people thought they were being helped by the government's easy money program that allowed the likes of Gsaks etc. to bilk the masses out of multi-trillions of dollars with easy money loans? Look at Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac. Who sponsored them? Who took all the credit for the booming housing market? Who's taking credit for the current bull market and what the people are told is a recovering economay? And now those same people are prosecuting Gsaks for their criminal and unethical behavior. They've got 90% of the idiots believing the government had nothing to do with anything... except the previous administration.

      Stupid in, stupid out!

    • ------- CONTINUED -----

The people took most of their money and food and hid it very well. They would then take a very small amount and hide it in a somewhat obvious place. When the home-invaders came, the people would claim that they had nothing to steal. The invaders knew better of course, and would begin torturing the peasant or serf into telling them where their goods were. The peasant or serf would take as much torture as they could possibly stand, holding out for as long as they could and then they would "pretend to break", and show the soldiers where their small amount of money and food was "hidden" in the somewhat obvious place. The very small amounts that the soldiers obtained from all of this hard work and negative publicity was simply not worth the time and effort. Furthermore, after doing this a few times, the soldiers became convinced that the peasants were "stupid" in their choice of hiding places. Instead of taking the time and effort to torture the peasants, they would just check all of the "obvious hiding places". They would invariably find the very small amount that the "stupid peasant" had put there and move on to the next house. The peasant avoided torture altogether and kept most of his goods.

The confiscation strategy employed by the government against the people was so horrendously counterproductive, that generations of English Kings were taught never to use it. It made the people hate you passionately for decades, it did not result in ANY appreciable revenue, and it turned the military solidly against you.

But then... the Bankers invented paper bank notes. The Government now had the ideal way to steal, confiscate and tax money from the peasants. Just print paper. The stupid peasants don't SEE you taxing, stealing and confiscating from them. There is no sending of Soldiers door to door, no torture, no negative publicity, NO YOU-TUBE! In fact, you can convince the stupid peasants to demand that you print more paper "out of compassion" for the poor and elderly. Ha, Ha, Ha!

Are you worried about confiscation? Well you had damned well better be! That is what "printing paper", "monetization", Bailouts, and HYPER-INFLATION ARE!!! The Government does not give a damn about the .001% of peasants that still own Gold and Silver. That is not where the money is. They are lazy and greedy. The best way to steal is by printing paper. 99.999% of the peasants and money is good enough for them.

IF your PMs are well hidden and that it is fairly simple to do -- it is unlikely the GOVERNMENT will take them from you. Desperet and impoverished indiviguals on the other hand -- are ALWAYS a potential problem. :(

      the DUCK

    • QWAK,J4D,I don't believe that CONSFICATION will be an actual problem -- A slight posability perhaps BUT ONLY if they can get your PMs EASALY with out much time and effort. :)

This post from another board covers the topic fairly well.
      -------------------------------------
      The Myth of Confiscation
There is a paranoid conspiracy fantasy out there that the Government will one day send men with guns to your front door to confiscate your precious metals from you. This myth is false, counterproductive and deserves to be put to rest once and for all.

In the Middle Ages when Gold & Silver coins were used as currency, the various feudal governments of Europe had a very difficult time collecting taxes. It was impossible to levy an income tax or a sales tax without knowing how much money each person made or spent (and be able to prove it in court). So the government resorted to property taxes and import taxes. Import taxes were the easiest to evade and smuggling became standard business practice. The peasants and serfs were so adept at smuggling that the king was forced to exist almost entirely on property taxes.

If you owned land, you had to pay a certain amount to the king each year (based on how much land you owned). If you rented (like most peasants and serfs) you had to pay rent to the landowner, or he would send men with swords to your house and evict you. Well, guess what? The King owned almost all of the land.

During the Hundred years War between England & France, the English Government was in dire need of money to finance the war. Late in the war, when the English government was most desperate and had nothing to pay the soldiers, they authorized the soldiers to go house to house in lower England to obtain gold, silver & food "for the war effort". This effectively turned the soldiers into armed home-invaders and thieves. Here is what happened:
