For All The Dumb Split Answers
Gotta admit ..... that's about the dumbest thing I ever heard ..... the post about the "dumb" split questions. If you paid $80 sometime recently, you now will have two shares this morning that are worth 40 each .... or whatever the current price is, looks like about $39.25 or so. If you are buying KO today you get 1 share for your $39.25 period, you want two shares, buy another one at $39.25 .... then you'll have the same amount that the buyers have that bought before the split for about the same amount of money. Nobody makes 100% on their money, nobody gets cheated out of shares ..... as Porky says "tha ..tha ..tha ..tha ..that's all folks!

I'm just glad I bought before the split so I will get double the dividends when the pay out date gets here.

since the div was declared after the split was approved the next div is per share post split

Yes, providing you bought no later than August 10th and held until today.

The record date for the stock split is expected to be July 27, 2012, with new shares expected to be distributed on or about Aug. 10, 2012. Each shareowner of record on the close of business on the record date will receive one additional share of common stock for each share held.
