They downgraded it because it's overvalued. The 2nd thing to remember is that all the consumer staples(XLP)are at the end of a long "fear trade" which is coming to an end. When a GS analyst downgrades a stock, you can bet they're planning on buying it.
or they are shorting it. Don't get me wrong, I love KO the company but just not at this valuation.
You are correct sir! GS did the same to my Altria (MO) a few months ago, around 30. The old "bash and buy". KO will see 45, before it sees 35..
