seems to me that the Croods is the only movie they made this year that may be profitalbe. Everything else is at a loss. On top of negative earnings, they have nearly 9 months of drought. How is this company going to survive with one decent movie a year with 9 months of nothing? That's right from June 2013 to march 2014; there is absolutely no release of any movies. It will get very ugly folks.
Isn't Turbo getting a wide release on July 17th 2013?
Add to that the new series Monster V Aliens starting on Nick on April 6 2013 and Turbo starting on Netflix at the end of 2013,bringing the total number of active tv shows to 5 and it is not a complete desert for 2013.
While I think the stock will pull back again ,especially when the numbers come out from the fourth quarter. The positive numbers from the Crood's and the continued growth of the active tv lineup will help the company grow their library and if Turbo actually puts up good numbers the stock could firm up in the second half of the year.
The Crood's also has a chance of beating the 150 million domestic number people have been saying that it needs to beat as there is not another animated film being released for 8 weeks ,when Epic comes out.The air will probably be sucked out of most of the movies in 5 weeks though when Iron man 3 comes out which might be shooting for some of the same crowd.
