Always be aware of how earnings are reported by the various financial sources. The most common metric used is diluted (a more conservative measure), non-GAAP (adjusted or pro forma) earnings. This gives a cleaner picture of a company's operating earnings.
TD Ameritrade for example reports diluted, non-GAAP earnings, whereas MSN Money Central reports the more confusing GAAP earnings, which do not include non-recurring charges and/or gains. That's why I do not use the MSN Money figures. Most consensus estimates are based on non-GAAP earnings.
Manilaasia is right. His numbers for the last few quarters for RVSN are the correct diluted, non-GAAP earnings. So the company has beaten estimates in all but one quarter, where it met the estimate.
I'm with ragoody. I think the stock ran up ahead of earnings, then sold off on the news. There is nothing wrong with the company or the stock. The videoconferencing story is still intact.
They have cutting edge tech and are just starting to roll this tech and it's applications out! In 5-10 all calls will be video conf amd reg!
It will be similar to the cell phone story 10 years ago few had them ...now ......it's hard for some peeps to put them down!
Then longer term ....you have mobile video.....ala Dick Tracey wristwatch!
so......if the price falls tht just means more bounce for the buck with the buyback. The still have $23m to spend. If you are in for the long haul it also is an opportunity to add some cheap shares.....a win win deal
What are you smoking....they beat(met) earnings estimates the last 4 times and beat by 2 cents this time.
