May have nothing to do witn MVIS but it will be interesting to see what MSFT came up to differentiate their offering compared to what's already out there.
Maybe it's just another tablet, running Win8RT.
Hopefullt MSFT has some trick left up their sleeves but they haven't shown much in last couple of years.
Microsoft Surface tablet with thin magnesium case, Windows 8, thin touch keyboard doubles as a cover, yada, yada, yada from MSFT.
Nothing really radical like a Microvision laser projector...yet.
They are holding it in Milk Studios, a modernist 'clean look' design that is decidedly different than the typical stage and audience format for a presentation.
I bet they're going for trying to make it seem like everyone is in an ultra-sleek modern residential setting.
Then they'll razzle dazzle everybody with images jumping all around the place from one device to another.
They could do all that on a stage though. It makes me think they want the people there to be scattered around 'the room' so to speak. Maybe so they can be more readily immersed in whatever it is they wish to show them.
Maybe everybody gets a pair of AR glasses when they walk in!
It won't matter to MVIS either way. It's just fun to try to figure something out in advance and this is definitely out of the ordinary, probably for a reason.
No - I'm saying the leaked document does not sound like what Microsoft is going to unveil TODAY.
Today's announcement, the timing of it, the location, the fact it's late in the day EST means it is not a tablet of any sort.
Today's announcement will surprise everyone, and I'm saying since they chose to do it in LA it has to revolve around content.
This is actually again incorrect, it's just another rumor.
If you read the 'leaked' spec sheet, it talks about 2 devices, one of which sounds like the Xbox 720, and the other which sounds like a companion device a la Wii U which is woefully underpowered.
Nobody actually knows what will be unveiled, and please mark this post, it will not be a tablet.
Maybe not. But all the news source that have been invited for the "secret" 3:30 PST, Los Angeles, presentation have indicated a tablet that woud be running on a pre-release Windows 8 for th ARM processor, called Windows8RT..
They may all be wrong!
I can only go with what has been talked about.
The spec sheet you are talking about included future product development and included additional stuff like AR glasses. Which we won't see today.
MSFT hasn't impressed anybody in many years and hasn't come up with a "revolutionary" product of any sort in the same time frame.
We all know how succesful they were with the ZUNE...
Pierre are you a nut? How did you know of the Fahri investment prior to its announcement? And why are you suggesting a plethora of crazy ideas since then that haven't proven remotely true?
