What was Microvision's share of that? $500,000? $1 Million? They are supposed to be the leader but someone sold almost half a billion dollars worth of Pico Projectors last year and Microvision sold less than a half of one percent. Truly a pathetic performance and yet another indicator that Tokman is out of his depth.

You have to realize (and this SHOULD NOT have to be pointed out to you)...that Microvision [2011-2012] was in transition to pivot towards Gen_2 and awu from old "ShowWx" tech...
...that "pivot" won them a contract with one of the biggest name in consumer electronics on the planet...PIONEER!...
...PLUS...Pioneer became/is now a "parts" technology partner for PicoHUD and other tech/things PicoP-Gen_2 (a bonus structure).
If you [and others] dont think this has gained industry points with ALL THINGS and ALL players that want Pico-Projectors in and part of their consumer electronics product line-up, both embedded and SA, you have been disinformed.
Right on sadnock. The market penetration of pico projectors to date has been p1$$ poor for two reasons: 1) MicroVision has not been able to obtain dIrect green lasers in quantity, and 2) all "competing" technologies are HORRIBLE. This is about to change rapidly in our favor, as 1)MicroVision now has access to direct green lasers in quantity, and 2) the "competing" technologies are STILL HORRIBLE.
Waiting. MVIS probably needs to wait at least 30 days before telling us what they told the new investors.
When they offered better service on the web site to SA customers to get their units working with devices, I took that as confirmation that dgl's would be available in at least reasonable quantities.
Short term key is when and whether pioneer reorders. I've assumed $40 a unit which would be 100k units for the first order. 100k units should handle the early adapters and provide the data needed for their sales department.
