    KEYSTONE PIPELINE

    as with anything else in DC , i cannot be sure of who is actually stalling/killing the Keystone project. Obama
    is certainly the front man , but it may actually be the republicans against it ... I too have moved into the
    camp of anti-Keystone project ...
    Granted , in the short run .. it's many jobs to build it , but then , it will be full of Canadian products , either
    oil from sand or NG .. which in turn , will mean far fewer jobs drilling/transporting/treating water for
    US companies .... i say let the Canadians build a damn pipe to Vancouver and sell their stuff to the
    Chinese ... we should be shipping Bakken NG through the Great Lakes to the rest of the world ..
    Another great move would be to build another refinery or 2 in Ohio to process both Utica and Bakken
    products ... garce

      Really ? Yes Canada has been such a poor neighbor why would we desire to establish oil supplies from such an unstable and historically adversary such as the Canadians. We're so much better off to keep the Mexican pipeline flowing as that country is much more stable and we get such high quality goods and drugs from them.
      The only PERSON blocking the Keystone pipeline is Obama..it's passed all the criteria and he could an executive order tomorrow to get it started. I have moved to the camp of "ignore" iamgarce" !

        again ... the pipeline means jobs in the short term , but the added supply will reduce the need to
        drill in the US and cost long term jobs .. granted , Canada is a terrific partner , but Keystone is
        not what some would lead us to believe .... Remember about 10 years ago , when there was a
        big bruhaha about the ANWAR region and Bush took a lot of heat for not opening it up ... maybe
        he really knew something .. like forcing the oil companies to look elsewhere , they have now
        discovered more oil reserves than Saudi Arabia has , plus almost unlimited NG , and it's a lot
        cheaper than drilling in ANWAR ... quick fixes for symtoms are not what we need ... garce
        besides ... how much business would there be for HEK up in Alaska with conventional drilling
        anyway ?????? if you are going to invest , you need to understand a lot more than just
        numbers on reports ... garce

        Bog correct me if I am wrong but Canada is our #1source of oil why send it to China and pollute the air by shipping it ocean freight, when it can be transport via pipelines
