Spent the night at the Marriott Executive Apartments at Dubai Creek, the room was HUGE but not near as large as the 2 bedroom 2,600 sq ft suite I've booked at the Marriott Harbourside for the 3 nights following my 12 night cruise.
Thank you Dr. Clueless "Dr." Joe for thinking of me, I guess you're looking forward to my pictures huh? So far I've only taken pictures of my suite at the Marriott this morning and the Dubai University that's in a building just across the street from my 1 bedroom apartment.
So far I'm pleasantly surprised by Dubai, it was cool an comfortable when we arrived last night but it's a tad warmer today although it's dry and it won't turn humid until we reach Cochin in about 3 or 4 days time. Our limo driver was good enough to drive around and buy us packages of Nasi Briyani at 1:00AM last night, the working people here are mostly east Indians and Filipinos but they're all very polite and they all speak English.
13 hours to fly into Frankfurt, 2 hours waiting in Frankfurt (free internet access in the Frankfurt Lounge) and a 5 hour flight into Dubai. Worst part was the 1.5 hour line up to get through Dubai Passport Control and at midnight in Dubai, the place was PACKED! Anytime you want to see some pictures Joe, just speak up and ask. I'm always ready to let you have a view into what it's like when you're not totally clueless like yourself. Bye now, Cardplayer Cruises is holding a cocktail party on Deck 5.
