Yep. People celebrate Christmas in Japan but it's not a recognized Holiday. People work all day the 24th & 25th as a normal work day.
Dec 21st 2012 5 drug approvals in Japan
Dec 25th 2012 15 approvals
Dec 22 2011 9 approvals
Most months approvals are near the end. Found one Aug 10, 2012 but it was a change to an existing drug.
The science dept met on Dec 10th 2012, they are the ones that recommend to the Ministry of Japan.
from listening to Ron on the last call he said we would hear about Japan in 1st Q of 2014. Now he may be playing it close to the vest because of the Perifosine debacle but instead of using the phrase "ANY DAY NOW" he said 1st Q of next year. I think Ron is in close contact with Torri and knows that we aren't going to hear until January. I hope I'm wrong and the shorts get it shoved up their hind quarters next week, but I bet the first week of January we hear something.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Except that between now and January 2, everyone has other things to think about. And January 3 is a Friday.
If a tree falls in a forest....
I think we should hope for an announcement on Monday, Jan. 5. That way it'll get everyone's attention.
I heard someone mention previously that the Japanese MO for approval occurs in the last 10 days of the month on a Friday of Sunday. That puts us on the 22nd, 27th or 29th. Let's see if they are consistent.
Bunch of bureaucratic nonsense; review should take two weeks for this type of drug with this low a side effect profile and with such great benefit. Any one tell me why the hell it should take over a year to review Z?
