I read on another bio board where Wall Street Week had a program on healthcare in which they reportedly said that "small biotech companies with a successful drug for cancer or heart disease will have a tremendous stock value in the future." (poster's quote)
Did anyone happen to listen to the program? If so, any elaboration would be appreciated. Was SCIO mentioned?
I saw the show. They mentioned that a medical device company is going to have a product for conjestive heart falure that was going to be big. He said the upside is unlimited if you can find a small company with a big drug. Maybe he meant Mgi Pharma(mogn) or Inflazyme Pharma IZP(Toronto). Cancer and asthma in that order. I own Scio, Mogn and IZP.
I listened. Kept waiting for them to mention Scios. They mentioned a couple large companies who were working on things, then said there were another 12 or 16 small companies they could mention. Your quote is right. It was interesting they devoted so much of the show to the topic.
