    Here's the deal, take notes

Star Scientific USED to be in the tobacco business. Star still holds valuable patents in the tobacco area and will likely monetize those patents one day, but it has taken a new direction with the discovery of the amazing properties of anatabine. As the company goes forward with developing the vast potential of anatibine (Anataloc) it has forged alliances with a number of medical institutions and people. These folks do NOT want to be affiliated with anything in the tobacco business, so Star Scientific forms Rock Creek Pharmaceutical and most (if not all) of these medical institutions and professionals are affiliated with -- Rock Creek Pharmaceutical – (surprise!) – so when one of the 32,000 employees of Johns Hopkins like a low level PR person?) she would not e able to find Star Scientific as being aligned with Johns Hopkins, because they are doing business with Rock Creek Pharmaceutical.

Now for you that may be a distinction without a difference, but in the hands of an ill-informed PR spokeswoman and a devious, duplicitous, unscrupulous shill for professional shorts, it can become a tempest in a teapot.Know the difference, and beware of the low class writers, market makers and shorts who prey on the under-informed.

What you have just read may make a difference in your future wealth. Have a good day.

"The four authors, all researchers at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, included Paul W. Ladenson , MD and Patrizio Caturegli , MD."

"The company also announced that it is hosting the first of a series of Anatabloc conferences for physicians this evening in Richmond, Virginia. Presentations on research using anatabine will be made by Michael Mullan, M.D. PhD, Director of the Roskamp Institute; Paul Ladenson, MD, Director of Endocrinology & Metabolism at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine; and Patrizio Caturegli, MD, MPH, Associate Professor of Pathology and Endocrinology at the John Hopkins School of Medicine."

"The independently funded research team at Johns Hopkins conducted and completed a study of anatabine nutritional supplementation in a mouse model of autoimmune thyroiditis, entitled "Anatabine, a Tobacco Alkaloid, Reduces Disease Incidence and Severity in a Mouse Model of Autoimmune Thyroiditis...
Dr. Curtis Wright , Senior Vice President and Medical/Clinical Director of...ROCK CREEK PHARMACEUTICALS Inc., stated, "...The possibility, now supported by external research findings that one of our products could help maintain thyroid health, is very exciting to us, and is ample reward for the efforts of ROCK CREEK'S research team in designing and conducting the ASAP Thyroid Study with the oversight assistance of an independent scientific committee. The current impressive results achieved by the Johns Hopkins team strongly support the first look at the thyroid data in man, which we anticipate will be available in the third quarter."

      • a, When the story first broke from the thugs I assumed someone would quickly put up what you did to support the facts that Star did not mislead. I am very glad you looked it up. Past public news releases hold all the information needed on their stance. Thank you.

        From your post-
