It was expectred that Parker would ask for at least 33% of the merged companies for his shareholders.. He gave in for 28% in order to become CEO after the merger...Parker first, LCC shareholders last. I believe our shares would currently be selling at a higher price without a merger.
Vote no on the merger. Force Parker to get a better deal for LCC shareholders.
The reported market cap for New AA is $11B. 28% of that is over $3B. Why isn't LCC trading at least to $3B market cap?? On thin volume someone is obviously keeping the lid on below $16 while UAL and DAL surge more than 3%.
Go look at the option chain for LCC - desk's would love to close this thing at 15 on the 19th. They have been off by a dollar the last two months of option expiration, but 30.000+ calls and puts at 15 is sweet incentive to at least give it a try.
Fing hedge funds and institutions playing arbitrage games. They and AAMRQ shareholders making out like bandits.
Too many are expecting a lot of debt forgiveness for AAMRQ. I don't believe you can trust the projected $11 billion market cap for the merger...carryover debt will be higher than the shareholders are being led to believe.
