Seems like we have gotten through two months of quarter with the jet fuel price averaging mid+ 2.70's. Gotta' be good for the bottom line. Wonder if the analysts' will start bumping up estimates in June?
I think in a few weeks even if fuel starts up, it will impact Q3. I thought it was a matter of weeks but I'm starting to think the lag is almost a month.
When I figured the earnings (with the after tax portion considered), I knocked 25 cents off their early April guidance on Q2 fuel. I'll keep it there to be conservative. I used Yahoo revenue estimates and mid point cost guidance ... got $1.70 eps. I'll look closer at revenue when we get through the monthly reports.
If the analysts do change their estimates, it'll be interesting to see if revenue changes ... or costs.
