The revenue data was not great: it' was OK. Meanwhile, the recent action in oil suggests that oil prices can remain lofty regardless of fundamentals (it's basically trading as a financial instrument, and God knows where that will lead). So without the great likelihood of a oil windfall, why take a chance on LCC in a frothy and declining stock market? In this context, LCC's move makes sense, even though fundamentally it doesn't. As I've said a zillion times, this is a crazy tough game to play.
