I'm sticking with it (since 1994). I've never sold a share and now the cap gains would be too taxing if I did. I like the modest dividend too. Relative to their long aveage holding period of 9 years, their large size is comparatively less of a factor. I too would like to see better recent performance, but they are not too far off track. I won't be adding more shares though.
My wife & I have been lucky enough to acquire positions in all 4 D&C funds. In my opinion, this group is not for traders. I think it's for investors who want to sleep at night. Compared to other groups, the clarity in their published statements, goals & opinions of the investing climate are extremely refreshing. Their fee structure is the lowest in their categories. All this adds up to their goal of protecting & growing their clients money. My advice- keep em' if you've got them & get em' if you can. Scott
