In its Dec 29 article about China cutting its rare earth exports, WSJ named only two companies with a chance of opening or reopening their rare earth mines in 2011: Thompson Creek Metals (TC) and Molycorp (MCP).
A segment on Worldwide exchange this morning (12/30/2010) said that companies like REE and AVL may never actually mine any rare earth, and if they are successful in getting their operations going, it wouldn't happen before 2015.
Its amazing how the pump and dumpers work the program. I predict this REE scam will come out soon. Also anyone that thinks the US and the world in general would totally cut off China to minerals like copper and iron ore should China even consider not exporting so called rare earth elements to the rest of the world.
