For those of you not familiar with how shorts manipulate a stock's price with the help of dishonest maket makers take a look at NMM's trading yesterday between 10:30am and 11:00am.
Stock fell $0.45 on no volume. No mutual fund trader interested in keeping his job would dump stock that quickly on a no news day with the market going up.
Some #$%$ ball hedge funds have been playing this stock like a fiddle. Eight times over the past two years we have witnessed #$%$ sell offs like we have seen over the past six weeks on little or no news, with the same traders then driving the stock back up.
and yes, manipulation of share prices is technically illegal. Hopefully, NMM management will ask for a FINRA investigation.
