    COH is not luxury by

european standard. come on, dont think coach bags can compare w/ those of LV, Dior, Chanel etc... coach is good old american brand that gets no international recognition.
with that aside, the stock COH is very bullish, therefore its a good buy.

    • Not a bad comment about China. ON the confence call with PJ the talk more about Japan, and looking mosty at Hong kong for the china play. most be constrantion of wealth for the COH model to work. Still a great buy

    • PS i m a cpa and take insult that we work for the government. While CPA's provide tax advice, we also perform audits, computer support and donate lots of money to Coach for its wonderful laptop bags

By the way, i m just teasing. And i defintly don't work for the government!

    • I do understand, my wife keeps Coachs earnings up and you know what I don't blame. I have my obsessions and she has hers. AT least she stopped by lv's, besides it being a non us company , she is not supporting an investment that has rewarded us with a 90% return in under 2 years!

    • Some of us own the stocks years ago and of course why not enjoy life. Dont' get me wrong I work hard for my money as CPA for the gov't. Of course, I can make more money working for the top accounting firm specializing in taxes but for what? Like you, I also own a house, a nice car, so why complain if there's nothing to be complained. Enjoy life while you can, tomorrow is not promised. By the way, have you seen a UHaul following a Hearse to the cemetery. Don't be bitter with people who likes quality things...some of us earn the right to do so by working hard --..of course I am buying it with my AM-EX to have earn points to travel. Just think of it as supporting the economy :)

    • thank gawd for the capitalist system. may we all be rich beyond our wildest dreams.

    • >>Hey, I'll think go out and buy a new car even though I just bought one two years ago and my trade-in will be worth less than my car loan. But it doesn't matter, because I'm getting rich off the appreciation of my overvalued house!

I see a lot of truth in what you write. Regardless, why not profit from it? No-one is being forced to buy these items, overpriced as they might be. It is a voluntary action - and the purchasers must live with the consequences of their decisions (good or bad).

Given that they throw money at the company, why not run around with a bucket and collect it?

Cold and calculating? Perhaps. But real, nevertheless.

      Long COH

    • She writes:
      >I love my COH products and its accessories as >well as I love my LV's.

You are a pathetic shallow consumer who places too much value on material goods. This stock seems to be all about people paying way too much for things that they don't need. Sadly, our entire U.S. economy is being supported by the insatiable buying habits of people like this.

Hey, I'll think go out and buy a new car even though I just bought one two years ago and my trade-in will be worth less than my car loan. But it doesn't matter, because I'm getting rich off the appreciation of my overvalued house!

    • The comparison of Coach to LV, Dior etc etc is futile. Coach is not competing with these brands. Coach has created its own class. They even coined "accessible luxury" and created that market segment and it's now the king. Currently no one can compete meaningfully with Coach in that segment.

An (very successful) example along the same line of strategy is Starbucks. SUBX is not competing with luxury Cafes with high class services. It's not competing with fast food stands or donut shops which offer low end coffee either. It totally created its own market segment now millions of American hook and cannot live without it. May be it's not famous in France, Italy etc etc. but that's fine as long as the company knows what it's doing and does it right.

      Go Coach go.
