Seems a little risky to me to base your positions solely upon numbers. Numbers will not totally reflect a company's future. They can reflect others' opinions of a company's future, but I'd rather rely upon my own judgement. As far as I'm concerned, you can not know enough about what a company does, plans, or produces; it's as important or more important than the numbers. Numbers are short term and you can only use them to see whether they are improving or not from past numbers. Knowing about the company is the way to determine if it will survive and prosper in the future. Investing is as much art as it is science. And numbers are only the science part.
