Shorts are shooting their guns at retail in random fashion. They don't care what they hit. They don't care if they can wound or kill. It's still blood. The time to buy is after the last shot. When they run out of ammo and the streets are full of blood, then it's time to buy.
I don't know if it could go to $42 at this time of year. But it could if retail SSS come in too weak. COST came in at 5% and above expectations so I'm expecting more surprises to the upside by tomorrow. Saks and Nordstrom's is expected to come in strong. So upper end is holding up well. But teens retail is expected to come in weak. I think that the expectations for teen retail is too low and I expect better from AEO than analysts do.
Today maybe the time to buy some retail since expectations are so low.
