The Media Started Pounding You With The Words 'Fiscal Cliff'

A bit before the elections, but then really started hammering this agenda after the elections. All well coordinated and trying to keep your eyeballs off the earnings cliff dead ahead.

    Sentiment: Strong Sell

    • Kinda Sorta.

You see, any person of reason would realize that all this hoopla and fanfare is strictly a media circus. Between the fiscal cliff cutesy graphics on CNBC which appeared in ballpark Aug/Sept. of 2012, and all of the rhetoric from the hosts/anchors and guests; one must decide that all of them are clueless, and just Blowin' Wind; just short of this side of farting.

Those who have the real power and influence aren't in the headlines; nor do they appear in the media spin machine. Never have, never will.

There's much to be said for being unknown. I know it, and like it.

But I'm just an ordinary gal from a small capital city in the Big Berg. So I couldn't know much about how Paula Tics work, or how deals went/did and do, go down.
Collusion, Bid Rigging, strong arming, conspiracy? Nah...Not in my little town, or state.

Yep. And Mary was a virgin. But later gave birth to a human?

I don't think that woulda flown in my Catholic home, if I woulda used the "Virgin" gig, and ending up pregnant, as an at home teenager. I'm more than certain my folks woulda been pointin' the finger at some real life male. Boyfriend, or not.

Say what? The Bible says it can happen, but only once? And why not for Suzy, Lisa, Elizabeth, Zahara, Janet, Judy, Melissa, Crissy; et. al.?

Nope. Ya just can't have it both way; especially when it comes down to religion, and Beliefs.

      • Clearly, you missed the Zahara reference. I think that's a Jewish name? But I'm not certain.

Regardless; no teen, of either sex, can pull the "virgin" gig at home.

Let's just all admit that a tall tale is a tall tale. And a fairy tale is a fairy tale. And One doesn't have to be tall, nor a fairy (in any sense of the word,) for it to be somehow believable?

      • You need to understand the concept here-'Fiscal Cliff' is a construct for mass public indoctrination as outlined by Edward Bernays: "In almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons ... who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind."

In his autobiography, titled Biography of an Idea, Bernays recalls a dinner at his home in 1933 where

Karl von Weigand, foreign correspondent of the Hearst newspapers, an old hand at interpreting Europe and just returned from Germany, was telling us about Goebbels and his propaganda plans to consolidate Nazi power. Goebbels had shown Weigand his propaganda library, the best Weigand had ever seen. Goebbels, said Weigand, was using my book Crystallizing Public Opinion as a basis for his destructive campaign against the Jews of Germany. This shocked me. ... Obviously the attack on the Jews of Germany was no emotional outburst of the Nazis, but a deliberate, planned campaign.

        Sentiment: Strong Sell

      • as an orthodox Catholic i find your comments about Mary and the Bible offensive. as someone who grew up in a Catholic home you should certainly know better than to talk this way in public. if it's how you really feel then take it up with a priest privately. please limit your remarks to SPY or i'll report this as abuse, it crosses the line.
