""I thought the Zimbabwe CB folded, and their present currency is the USD?""
They took 12 zeros off their new "4th dollar" in 2009 and they are allowed to use foreign currencies.
"have you ever tried to withdraw a large sum like $20,000?"
Your bank will let you withdraw all your money. You might have to give them one day notice to have enough on hand. But I do see your point it makes very large sums easier to track if you use electronic transfers.
Magic coin? How silly is that. What we need are some MAGIC BEANS. Once you plant the magic beans, you can climb the bean stalk, kill the monster and then take all the Gold. Gold is the true money here.
W/ regards to gold, everyone has their currency, for many its food, for others its cars, for a child it maybe candy, and for some it maybe gold, the dutch thought it was tulips in the 1600s, never know gold may become the next tulip mania! What can you do the stuff... touch it, feel it, look at it?
$100 bills are still the largest bills I can get at the bank. Please tell us when we will need to use $1000 for everyday use. Next year or in 50 years? Zimbabwe has $100 trillion notes in circulation. We are not like Zimbabwe
"magic coin"... get this, per the 14th amendment (let no one come between our nation and its debt) the president has instructed the treasury to pay it debts with-in legal methods. One legal method being tooted is the treasury minting a special ("magic") coins worth up to several trillion and depositing it with the Federal Reserve... don't believe me, search it!
