So one can assume Funds $$$ LEAVING Apple goes into S&P as proven in the last minute of trade !
Is RSI showing oversold at all ??
My Market Order filled near $438 for 200 shares on that Dip
Long term, 1 year +, not too bad an entry...
Shorter term, this is going to 400 with the potential to dip below that..
Look at a 5yr chart, not a classic parabolic burst pattern, but one nonetheless..
PB's tend to revert to their mean, in this case $400, and a high number of those break down and thru it..
Check out Cien and Jdsu on a 5 yr chart and you'll understand what i'm referring to..
Fact is, i agree with Kass and Gundlach. Dead money, not the same company any longer. Hedge funds will slowly divest themselves of this if they haven't already..
Hedge funds are looking for alpha plays, not sloggers. Momo plays. FB could be one of the next to ride. Pump it for all it's worth, then get out of town, just like Apple...
Pick the bottom is like picking the top . Very few stocks do a v shaped bottom after being broken . The first impulse down to 505 and then bounce back retrace to 590s was v shaped but still failed . Trade it for now and I expect violent bounces and some range trading / sideways action before a true bottom. PCLN held support but visited 550 two times before recent last chance retrace over 715s . NFLX look at its drops and rallies on the way down . So if you bought it here you would have to stop out at 435 . I will wait for open test and initial range to trade it !
AAPL has enough money to buy SPY, never before has one company had enough money to buy any company in the world. AAPL may be dead money yet dropping under 400.... with access to 135 billion in cash?
Well that's the $64,000 question isn't it sweety. Do you want a 2.18% yield on a basket of 500 stocks with a trailing PE of 13, or do you want a mega cap tech play with over 33% margins and a 2.10% yield. APPL has about $40 billion in cash and $0 debt.
It's your choice. Three for one.
Yea, as an ira trader, of course I am aware of that. One good thing. historically. congress, which has now a 70% dis-approval rating will not cause our stock market to go down short term. When congress is in session(February) i will probably sell all.The tea party(circa Mr. Herbert Hoover of the depression 1930's)suck's
