What a headline to be ignored. "Gary Shilling: The Disconnect Between Weak Economies and Strong Markets Won’t Continue"
Stating the obvious is never necessary.
Tellin' it like it is; is usually noteworthy.
Earnings from cos. which would indicate a growing economy, are weak at best. IBM, CAT, T, Etc.
NFLX blasting like a rocket is because more folks are unemployed, and have much more time to watch inexpensive entertainment on their devices. If I were a TV or movie person, even I'd spring for their reasonable price per month.
Shilling has not helped many make money over the last few years, as the bear case of a market linked to a real economy hasn't played out. Its the linkage of global hot and cold spots to capital seeking safety, and to intentional distortions in the politico-financial quadrant to preserve power and their own jobs/self interest. It will accelerate before the reckoning days of unanswerable crises we beg for so earnestly.
