I thought the guy was a leader. Where are all of the leaders in the NFL to defuse this ridiculous racial issue surrounding Riley Cooper saying the "n" word while drunk at a country music concert (imagine that)? Tebow played with Cooper while at Florida University. Tim Tebow had plenty to say about Aaron Hernandez who is probably a murderer, but has no words of support for a guy that happen to say a few wrong words? By the way, Hernandez also played at Florida with Tebow. What I find amazing is that the only guy going out on a limb to show support for Cooper is Michael Vick who happens to be a black player and a convicted felon. Is Michael Vick the cream of the crop in the NFL? It looks that way to me.
Apparently Tim Tebow doesn't use the Internet. Or read newspapers. Or watch the news. Or get CBSSports mobile alerts sent to his phone.
At least he didn't this week because when Tebow was asked about the Riley Cooper situation on Friday, he played dumb -- or smart, depending on how you think someone should answer a loaded question about their former college roommate who was caught on video using a racial slur.
Cooper was Tebow's roommate at Florida, so naturally, Tebow was asked his thoughts on Cooper's situation after practice on Friday, "I haven't seen everything that's happened," Tebow said, via the Boston Globe. "I've been pretty busy, I'm going to wait to comment until I hear what happened."
It will only take about 20 seconds for someone to tell Tebow what happened because that's how long the Cooper video lasts. Cooper was caught on video at a June 9 Kenny Chesney concert using a racial slur.
Speaking of Cooper, the Eagles announced on Friday that he's been excused from team activities for the immediate future so that he can seek counseling.
Maybe your right about that, eye.
Does it matter?
What are you or I or anyone going to do about it?
Should I attempt to kick his #$%$ for you?
Does it have anything to do with the market?
You clearly know nothing about the Patriots. The Patriots instructs the players to not talk to the media non-football related stuff. Cooper isn't football related because it's personal. They're just more worried about getting ready for Week 1 of preseason than some drama that has nothing to do with the Patriots.
