The health plan is covered 100% for me but I would pay 100% of dependent coverage. Since it is a much smaller business the rate for employee + family is $1238/month, dental is $111/mo and eye is $11/mo. The problem is that my family of four would get a subsidy of about $2700 if we made a little less, and I could go through the exchanges. The way I understand it, if your plan is 9.5% of your income (mine would be 17% you are eligible to purchase insurance through the exchanges, but I am not sure if I am over $94,200 for a family of four. I will see. Either way the calulator on the Kaiser family foundation / org says that it should cost about $7750 to cover my wife and two children but that would be for the "silver" plan and would be with "after tax" dollars vs. before tax. Either way though the other plan would be $16320/yr to cover my wife and children and it has a $2k deductible. My old job is less but they cover a good amount of dependent coverage and it is a larger group plan. Insurance companies are getting rich.
In related news, my wife's hospital has fired 99 people already. We both are in healthcare taking care of people everyday and can't afford it. Hilarious. Our legislators are clueless.
