you don't search apps everyday, you download them once and never search again.
No one is going to go to download the mimvi app on the ios or android store to search apps when each app store already has their own app search that works fine. Apps are searched for based on word of mouth and network effect than just aimless searches and clicks.
I see mimvi as one big scam that insiders are hyping on seeking alpha so they can continue to sell you shares to pay their big salaries.
because the company has a shelf offering and is selling shares to new suckers. read the sec filings. why do they need to keep raising millions when there have been 2 billion app downloads and they haven't made a dime? oh yeah cuz nobody used mimvi for those 2billion app searches
If you heeard Franks on Paltalk two days ago, Mimv has Five Developer Contracts
and is also generating Revenue through Networking with Microsoft and some of
Mimv offers multiple Revenue streams, using it's Search Services,
Mimvi Link, Mimvi Connect, and potentially the most luctative,
using Mimvi Link!
For example does a Search Company, named Google ring a bell!
Google Inc. is an American multinational corporation which provides Internet-related products and services, including internet search, cloud computing, software and advertising technologies.
Advertising revenues from AdWords generate almost all of the company's profits.
And what kind of profits?
How does over 30 Billion a year sound.
Next question is, what does that have to do with Mimv?
Well, what do you know Mimv also is A Powerful Search & Recommendation Engine, for the Mobile App Arena!
Mimvi's core technology is based on personalization algorithms, proprietary mobile app search, and recommendations algorithms.
Heady stuff. Simply put, no other search technology targets and delivers relevant mobile app, mobile content and mobile products in the same way.
To provide some insight into the magnitude of the Mobile Apps opportunity, the demand for Mobile Apps is increasing at an unprecedented rate. By 2015, it is estimated that users will annually consume more than 25 billion Mobile Apps.
Ultimately, Mimvi anticipates hundreds of billions of searches will be conducted through its unified search platform, enabling people around the world to find relevant Mobile Apps, Mobile Content and Mobile Products -- from China through to Europe and beyond.
With a leading search platform in terms of the number of searchable apps, Mimvi stands directly in front of a significant revenue opportunity, unless they opt for the same path as their previous competitor, Chomp, which was acquired by Apple.
Mimvi's ability to operate on all mobile apps no matter the platform makes it an interesting and compelling investment opportunity especially considering that most any mobile app will run on most any device in the near future including RIM (RIMM) Blackberries.
Now to the good part. The part that Shareholders and Invesors, are just starting to realize!
Mimvi plans to generate revenue with its search results similar to the way Google generates revenue with its search results, including a unique revenue product offered by Mimvi, called MimviLink.

US Mobile Ad Spending Jumps to $4 Billion
The FINANCIAL -- US mobile ad spending is growing faster than previously expected, due in large part to the success of so-called “native” ad formats like Facebook’s mobile newsfeed ads and Twitter’s Promoted Products. As emarketer Inc. SAID, these products represent a seamless experience across platforms for consumers—which means platform owners are able to successfully earn (or, in some cases, not lose) revenue as consumers continue to increase time spent on mobile devices with smaller screens unsuited to the bulk of desktop display advertising inventory.
eMarketer expects overall spending on mobile advertising in the US, including display, search and messaging-based ads served to mobile phones and tablets, to rise 180% this year to top $4 billion. emarketer ’s previous forecast, made in September 2012, was for substantially slower growth of 80%, to just $2.61 billion. Now emarketer expects US mobile ad spending to reach $7.19 billion next year and nearly $21 billion by 2016, a significant upward revision.
Facebook’s Q3 mobile performance is one major reason for the change. The social networking giant offered no mobile ad opportunities at the beginning of 2012 but grew its mobile business at an astonishing—and unexpected—rate. Before Facebook’s Q3 earnings call, most researchers and analysts expected US mobile ad revenues of roughly $45 to $100 million, according to figures examined by emarketer . While the company’s total ad revenues were, for the most part, unsurprising, the share of revenues attributed to mobile advertising was far from it.
eMarketer, which bases its figures on a meta-analysis of data from research firms, investment banks and other sources on ad revenues, ad impressions, ad pricing and other factors, now estimates Facebook’s US mobile ad revenues will hit $339 million in 2012.
Google also posted better-than-expected mobile ad growth in Q3. Fueled primarily by direct-response advertisers, Google is set to control a 56.6% share of the US mobile advertising market by year’s end, emarketer estimates.

Sentiment: Strong Buy
OK Folks step right up to see and smell yet another massive pile of steaming camel dung posted by none other than the most blatantly overt pumper himself; james.mike97 who along with the other 3 stooges have pumped up mimv like an inflatable slide. DO NOT fall for their rah-rah postings. The stock has dropped 50% in 100 days...does that sound like a stock that is supposedly doing work for Microsoft since September. I'll close with this; check out Kasian Franks with Mimv and also Chancellor group-CHAG and all related PR/Headlines. Good Luck.
Sentiment: Strong Sell
I know no one with an Iphone or Android device that searches for apps daily like they browse the web. Further not one of them gives a flying f about mimvi.
have fun dealing with endless secondaries. The best 'hope' for a return I see here is for microsoft to waste cash on a negative NPV acquisition.
