Just cut bonuses the day they were due to Oncology sales staff because they said they could not pay

I have knowledge that Sanofi cut bonus payout to Oncology Sales staff in half the day it was due. They did not cut it until the staff had already sold 5 times the amount they had predicted. The day the money was due to the employees, they had a conference call, which was yesterday and cut the payout in half. Some employees had already purchased items knowing the money was coming into them. The company said they could not afford it. They have a lot of really upset employees, just to let you know what kind of a company they are running. Look for another mass exodus of their top sales people. They cut the bonuses from 13 million to 6.5 million. Don' t you think the company should keep to their word on these bonuses since this is what the bonus structure was told to the employees before the sales period started. They sold so much, their bonuses were cut in half. Makes no sense to me and bad management.

    • Yes the French cut all the bonus payouts in the U.S., I cannot speak for the sites located overseas but it wouldn't surprise me if they screwed them to!

    • I would suggest to your friends; Don't whine, organize! without a contract like the executives have, they are made chumps of

    • I agree with you completely. However, for the same arguement, I have doubled my holdings today. The evidence is in:

1). The company is very frugal while being financially strong
2). The minor issues in Cyprus and beyond are having little impact on the moving average as it streaks higher and higher
3). The company has a strong product pipeline
4). The company is a leader in product development
5). Everyone, but especially the massive babyboomer population will only be increasing their use of meds
6). Did I forget to mention the dividend?

      Should I continue on?

Social media or no, if what you said is actually truth and factual, the investor could careless about how the company treats its sales force.

Therefore, this company is awarded a very, very strong buy!

      End of thesis.

      • Excellent summary and conclusion. I am buying wholeheartedly on these dips-they are gifts for averaging upward. This company is one of the very large exceptional Pharms and should see a very bright future. The 21st century with all of its socially media venues only makes it easier for employees or shorts to voice thei gripes. But human nature is just that--a breed of selfish self centeredness and greed. When it comes to investing, follow human nature!
