What does the US Military have to do with fighting tobacco use? Thats the job of the ATF, not DOD.
The war will be won when people stop getting addicted to substances that are destructive to their health. And when could that possibly happen? When they set firmly in their mind that they will give it up and replace it with something that can actually do good for their lives. Can it be done? YES! If I could do it, anyone can. At 20, I gave up smoking cigarettes/weed. I gave up smoking because I wanted to be a competivive runner within the USARMY MORE than I wanted to smoke and get stoned. Extreme sports and smoking cannot co-exist. Also, at 32, I gave up drinking any form of alcohol, forever. Never touched a drop in 19 years, but I should also note the road in giving up those addictions is not easy. The urges linger far after you have quit. I literally took a pen and paper and wrote in one column the PROS of drinking and in the other column the CONS of drinking. And I was not able to list any PROS of drinking alcohol. IMO, in every possibly way, its a killer -- Emotionally, mentally, physically and socially. All in all, the war on tobacco will be won on an individual basis. Well thats my story, hope I wasnt too long-winded. Yall hava great Super Bowl Weekend.
