Another year and Arrowfest approaches. "Cap'n Bligh" arm twisting to get customers to attend. Peole shuffling around like "night of the living dead" zombies looking to score Chinese made trinkets and a meal with some free booze. Oh, did I forget the displaced salespeople and buyers arriving with their resumes? Arrowfest is played, tired and needs to be sent out to pasture.
They get the suppliers to pay for it and they usually make money on them, what do they care? Shrimp on somebody and booze on somebody else. If you boil down the attendance, it's probably 10% engineers. The buyers are up for a freebie though but that's not what the vendors are after.
Well, Arrowfest in the Boston area has come and passed. Attendance was middling. According to an employee it is the same faces. One engineer was spotted filling a backpack with supplier mugs. He must be a hoarder. I was told of another person filling a backpack with food.Suppliers complain but as long as they ante up the booth fee it will continue.
