    Insider Buy

For some inexplicable reason, they can't seem to decide (Insider page and Profile page's Expanded List of management) which it is. Hardymon's bio shows it both ways.

Could it be because Hardymon goes both ways? <g>

Probably has intimate experience with tech start-ups.Investing $1mil in SIVB must mean he is successful at it--Harvard doesn't pay that well....bb

      • bb,

You got the spelling and the gender correct, but according to the bio on the Bessemer website, his MBA was from Harvard. He's been with Bessemer Venture Partners since 1981. Before that he was with the venture arm of GE. His previous experience before GE was as a Mathematics instructor and Director of Systems and Research at Duke University.

Whatever he does now, probably isn't related to any paycheck. It's more like the payback and I agree most strongly, you don't stay in the venture capital business for 20+ years without being very selective, smart and successful. His cost in SIVB is likely in the teens and I'd bet his time horizon is very long term.
