if the drug is so good, how come FDA is not approving it?? how come no big pharma has stepped up to partner with SRPT since Oct 3? If i am mistaken, let me know how. How come there is no buyout offer even when the price target is $160 and the stock is dirt cheap right now at mid $20s? Are you telling me big pharma is stupid & brainless to pass on a deal that good on a drug that works so wonderfully?
If we can stand in line for hours and camp out for days to save a few bucks on Black Friday specials, how come no big pharma has bought out SRPT at dirt cheap price when they can possibly make gazillions in the future on a drug that works. Something does NOT add up here, and we all may not know what it is, and thats good enough reason for me to play it from the short side because it smells too darn fishy for me to go long with such obvious questions hanging around it, with longs having NO answer for it.
and on top of that, you got dilution now. LOL
Holy, I'm sorry, but now you're just being plain stupid. The FDA hasn't approved it, first of all, because the post-phase 2 meeting hasn['t even happened yet where they will discuss the possibility of accelerated approval versus a full-fledged phase three trial. That meeting is supposed to happen in first quarter of 2013. And the company will not release any news until they receive a WRITTEN response from the FDA as to what it plans to do. Second, Sarepta isn't about to sell itself right now until there is more clarity on the drug's value. No other pharma in its right mind is going to throw a couple billion dollars at Sarepta - YET. But that's what Sarepta would want, minimum, if not more.
