There are many who were instrumental in the shareholders revolution that brought us to this point, who no longer will benefit from what is currently going on. It's a pity. We have gone through a shareholders revolt, getting rid of Burger and replacing the entire BOD, as well as an action getting rid of Hudson, and bringing in Chris. Where we are now is a result of dedicated shareholders with vision who took us from bankruptcy, to a successful biotech company.
How many of you have reached into your pocket, and put out cash to change the management of a public company because it was believed that the science was exquisite while management sucked? I along with a few others did justhat. This is only part of the history bringing SRPT to this point. Appreciate what it took getting us here . This is a unique situation.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
As I recall, there was an individual shareholder who owned about 10% of AVI who lead the revolution. He and his wife owned enough shares and worked together with other large and cooperative institutional investors to get rid of Burger and Hudson. At the time, many alleged that they acted only in their own self-interest and created only destructive results. Time tells every story. Looks like they made tough decisions that helped to bring in the new leadership of CG and his board. Their commitment and the money they spent out of their own pockets protected their investments, the investments of other shareholders and most importantly, the promise that this drug has to help save the lives of children with DMD. This was a major accomplishment and I remember it very well. Thank you for bringing this up, and let's keep going forward.
I think most of us are still here, just can't get a word in because of weird people and newbes.....but I am proud to have been part of the revolution. It is not often you can donate to making such a change....and the boys and shareholders are both benefitting! and at home my stock has also risen as many in my family thought I was crazy investing so much in a small Oregon company--not any more. Please keep posting. Rats
Sentiment: Strong Buy
MJ - rats, yes I believe most of us are still here and I agree most of us don't post anymore or rarely because of the shorts, "idiots" and "experts' we have on this board. I know I sleep well nights thinking that what we did a few years ago with the "revolt" of shareholders are about to reap the financial awards and see these boys become boys again. It does my heart good thinking about the parents seeing there sons start to walk, run and play again. Hopefully, soon all of the boys will benefit from our little company from Oregon. I am extremely lucky, I have one grandson who is 7 and healthy. I cannot fathom what I would do if he was as ill as these boys an no hope. Now they do.
who can forget the single focused approach you had in getting Boyle out on CG in. They're studying that approach at YPO's all over the country. Harvard want to add it their curriculum and call it Rubian Economics.
Yes you changed the world for the better
You did more then any of us when you added to your portfolio position
You've gotten a bit richer without any of the sweat and tears like all of us and now you want the credit you so richly deserve.
I for one want to thank you for non stop support on this board. Without your dedication this drug would never had a chance
I'm crying a bit when I think back to your many calls to me frightened about whether the company will make it.
At the time you never mentioned the boys but your own sweet tush
Yes you've done more then most here
