There's always one or two Oranges covered in MOLD. Not worth going to the store and complain about, but annoying none-the-less....
I am doing a produce department report for local grocery stores and Costco is on my radar for today, if I get out of work at a decent time and traffic is not too bad. I keep my blog positive and only write about what is hot in produce (good price and great quality). As far as I can tell from my reporting so far, oranges are not in season right now, so that may explain the poor quality. Check out my blog: http://producedepartmentreport.blogspot.com
Sure it may be annoying to find one or two oranges moldy in a box. BUT how petty are you?! The box of oranges is such a good deal, when I bought some they were averaged to .20 an orange. I looked through them and tossed the bad one so it wouldn't ruin the others. No big frickin' deal.
What a cheapskate to cry over that.
Same for anyone that gets a bad grape, strawberry or whatever. They chose the package, did they not look at it? Toss the bad piece in the compost and stop whining.
It's not like you were sold a chipped diamond for gawd sakes.
