Out. Can only deal with a POS so long.

Stock tanks with every spike in oil prices. Even more disturbing is the stock tanks with every good press release. Garbage. Sold my 4k shares. Enough is enough.

    • Just when you sell is when the price will go north, always happens.

    • Over the long term this won't be a POS, its a frustrating stock to own simply because it trades sideways for months on end. I'm holding on to sell higher, it WILL come in the near future.

      Sentiment: Hold

    • I can fully appreciate the frustration. The news release seemed very positive, yet the stock price did not positively react. Perhaps this good news was already "baked in" to the then existing stock price. A prior press release did mention pipeline disruptions taking place in November, although the production volumes cited still seemed respectable. Over the next few months, we should be getting new reserve numbers, year end financial and operating results, perhaps some early drilling results from Peru and perhaps more clarity with respect to the size of Moqueta. How the stock will react to any of this news is anyone's guess, but over the long-term, the positives still seem to outweigh the negatives.

      • The frustrating thing I have found with GTE is they have been releasing what appears to be game changing news like new formations below ones they had already discovered, oil fields that are larger than originally thought, new properties they have acquired, etc. and yet actual production grows only 5 or 10%. Two companies similar to GTE namely Pluspetrol and Perenco started out small too and then grew their production to 180,000 and 290,000 barrels per day. That's what is missing with GTE. Two big problems for GTE, I think, are the Colombian Marxists and the confiscatory Argentina government.
