In March, 06 issue Max Bowser writes on future of Tofutti, part of which follows: " ... Actually we think the ingredients are here for a takeover. ... David Mintz is the largest shareholder (almost 50%) and has been chief executive officer since Aug ' 81. Mr. Mintz is 75 and he may be thinking of retirement. To our knowledge, no members of his family are involved with TOF. A buyout price of $3.50 to $4 a share would be reasonable.". TOF was the 6/01 pick of the month and Bowser does a good job of following up on the companies he highlights. Important item is the fact that no family members are in the business. Worth a bit of thought.
Not bad at all is right! I just went by there again to see what it was like. Well, we have about 16 total windows on the front of the building with shades completely off 2 and 2 have the shades broken and mangled. The furniture is white with these horrible looking yellow seats (still Jerry Lewis style) in the waiting area and there's some graffiti on the side of the building, on the loading dock. Strange, strange situation. I can see folders and papers inside on filing cabinets while driving by so there must be at least some work being done in there. How weird!
Unbelievable!(From a Jerry Lewis film-furniture) Appearance tells a lot. Not much s-h interest here. Not bad, 600,000 a year and being semi-retired. I live in Europe and have never seen the area. Thanks, stkmtimo!
